Yi-Chin Fang - Data & GIS Manager
Yi-Chin manages, presents, and analyzes geographic information system (GIS) data. She processes and analyzes data using various geo-processing tools, models, and scripts. Yi-Chin is responsible for efficiently managing the GIS data, providing GIS training and assistance to other staff members, and incorporating new technologies to improve data collection and public presentation. She also creates the Conservancy's highly detailed, complex maps for dissemination to partners and the public that effectively represent GIS information, conveying the results of GIS analyses. Prior to joining the Conservancy, Yi-Chin was a conservation intern at the Pacific Forest Trust in San Francisco. She has a master’s degree in environmental management from Duke University and also has certificates in geospatial analysis.
