Volunteer Training Coordinator
About the Position: Irvine Ranch Conservancy (IRC) has an opening for a full-time Volunteer Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator develops, plans, and implements volunteer training and educational projects and activities for the organization. This includes participating in new volunteer orientations; leading interpretive, procedure, and safety trainings; partnering on developing and implementing specialized skill trainings; and implementing activity leadership courses. The Coordinator will also train staff, volunteers, and partners to train other volunteers. The Coordinator will be an integral member of IRC’s Volunteer Management and Administration team and will work closely with and mentor volunteers and staff who lead public activities.
The Successful Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in environmental education and interpretation, social sciences, communications, recreation studies, or similar field of study; three (3) years of experience in a related field; and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Salary Range: $27.80 to $28.90 per hour ($57,824 to $60,112 per year)

- Demonstrated experience working and communicating successfully with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing adult training and education on a variety of topics through a variety of training methods.
- Experience with environmental or other interpretation and communication.
- Strong familiarity of the local environment preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, particularly working in the SharePoint environment.
