 Facility Technician

About the Position: IRC has an opening for a Facility Technician with full- or part-time options. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work outdoors on a variety of tasks and projects and learn new skills. This position will work primarily outdoors around IRC's office location with some travel to the local area. 

The Successful Candidate will have a valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and at least one year of similar work experience, along with the following experience, skills, abilities, and knowledge: 
  • Experience in safely using and maintaining basic hand and power tools. ​
  • ​Experience in landscaping and irrigation systems, along with safely using and maintaining equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, weed whips, chainsaws, rakes, and brooms. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in an outdoor setting. 
  • ​Ability to receive and understand instructions, ask appropriate questions, and carry out work assignments safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. 
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, outdoors, in diverse weather conditions. 
 
Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour ($37,440- $45,760 per year)

 About the Team: IRC’s operations team works behind the scenes to support IRC’s mission and programs.  IRC’s operations team manages facilities, vehicles, equipment, land access, and other activities.
