Desert Cottontail, Sylvilagus audubonii
A desert cottontail adult is between 13 and 17 inches long and
can weight up to 3 pounds. It has a rounded tail with white fur
on the underside. Active in the early morning or late afternoon,
the desert cottontail eats mainly grass. Does not dig its own burrows.
