Robert Freese, Ph.D. - Program Manager
Robert is a project manager in the Science and Stewardship Department where he oversees the restoration of both upland and riparian habitats. His skills are in restoration planning, design, monitoring, and adaptive management. Robert has Ph.D. and MS degrees in Soil Science from North Carolina State University and a BA in Anthropology from Vassar College. He has worked as a restoration ecologist for six years in both California and Florida. He previously worked as a soil scientist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and as a hydro-ecologist for the St. Johns River Water Management District. He enjoys applying his interests in soils, native vegetation, and landscape hydrology to pursue environmental solutions.
