Program Coordinator - Restoration & Enhancement
About the Position: Irvine Ranch Conservancy (IRC) has an opening for a full-time Program Coordinator to join its Restoration & Enhancement team as a field crew leader. The Program Coordinator I perform field activities to implement projects within the Restoration & Enhancement program and deliver outstanding results on IRC’s projects and commitments.
The Successful Candidate will have a high school diploma. An associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, horticulture, agriculture, restoration ecology or similar is preferred. The successful candidate will have two years of experience in a related field such as landscaping or agriculture or one-year related experience for those with an associate or bachelor’s degree. The following experience, skills, abilities, and knowledge are also desired:
Salary Range: $ 23.00 - $28 per hour

The Restoration & Enhancement team works on public lands to revitalize native habitats degraded by natural or human-led forces. IRC’s expertise, knowledge, and long-term commitment to these lands enables us to improve their functioning and overall health, to assist in the recovery of species, and to re-build ecosystem connectivity and resilience. The restoration and enhancement program has a varied and growing set of challenging projects for its collaborative team of highly motivated professionals, each of whom develops unique skill sets. There are opportunities and support for advancement in this expanding role.

- A willingness to work outdoors under sometimes challenging physical conditions, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with mechanical and chemical weed control methods.
- Experience with the safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred but not required.
