Nicole Tamura - Wildland Monitoring Coordinator
Nicole conducts vegetation and arthropod monitoring as well as data entry and analysis for the Conservancy’s restoration projects. She is also responsible for detection and management of invasive insect species that threaten native habitat. Prior to joining the Conservancy, Nicole was a natural resource management intern for Lassen Volcanic National Park, where she worked on natural resource inventory projects including wildlife, vegetation, and wilderness character monitoring, geologic and hydrologic feature assessments, native plant/habitat restoration and non-native plant mitigation, GIS, and data management. Nicole has a bachelor’s in Earth System Science from the University of California, Irvine.
