2/13/2020

PictureCelebrate love on the Landmarks this weekend
Celebrate love all weekend long this Valentine’s Day while exploring the charming beauty of the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks! Change up your Valentine’s Day tradition this weekend with an outdoor adventure and Irvine Ranch Conservancy’s full calendar of activities for all to enjoy. Whether it’s with your significant other, family, or friends, there is lots to love outdoors!

Enjoy the winter sunshine with your valentine and take a morning hike through the Natural Landmarks! The diverse flora and fauna throughout the open spaces create the perfect romantic touch for your outdoor adventure. Take your loved one for a refreshing hike through the 1.8-mile Quail Hill Loop Trail, open daily for self-guided tours.

Amp up the fun this Valentine’s Day weekend and discover a new trail with an afternoon bike ride together. Nature lovers can share the love outdoors while biking through the lush ancient sycamore groves in Bommer Canyon, open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.

There’s no better way to complete your weekend celebrating love than with an evening stroll, taking in the romantic sunset views along the coast. Take your date night to the scenic trails of Buck Gully and enjoy self-guided access through the canyon. With breathtaking views that extend throughout Orange County and the Pacific Coast, Buck Gully is the ideal location to spend quality time outdoors with your loved one.

No date? No problem! Discover the Natural Landmarks with your favorite gals, pals or family members! Explore the native wildlife while celebrating love and friendship during Wilderness Access Day in Bommer Canyon on Saturday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Work off those Valentine’s Day treats by choosing your own adventure with self-guided access for hiking and biking in the southern portion of Irvine’s Open Space.

Whether it’s Valentine’s Day or not, the priceless gift of nature throughout Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks can always be shared with the ones you love. All activities are offered with required pre-registration, which closes at 4 p.m. the day prior to each event. Some programs are suitable for children 12 and over, and children must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. For more details on programs, hikes and a full list of activities, visit LetsGoOutside.org/activities.
