For less intense physical activities and a night the whole family can enjoy, Bats: Heroes of the Night takes place on Friday, July 14 in OC Parks’ Limestone Canyon. As day settles into the night, the group will head towards popular roosting locations and watch as bats begin their nightly adventures. Be sure to also bring the family to the Starry, Starry Night activity for an interactive, slow-paced evening hike under the stars and immerse yourself in our solar system.
Prefer mountain biking to hiking? The Evening Adult Beginner Mountain Bike Ride: Limestone Canyon to the Sinks activity on July 16 offers a slow-paced ride for adults throughout OC Parks’ Limestone Canyon. The 2.5 hour route takes bikers to Orange County’s mini “Grand Canyon,” The Sinks, and makes stops along the way to discuss local habitat and native species.
For a more zen evening activity, don’t miss the Summer Sunset Yoga Hike at Orchard Hills on July 19. This activity focuses on connecting to nature and unwinding after a busy day with a short two mile hike and a gentle flow yoga practice in nature.
