Jesse Potter - Program Coordinator

As a Program Coordinator Jesse contributes to the delivery of projects and activities with the Plant Material Development program and is responsible for coordinating project team members and resources to deliver outstanding results on IRC's project and commitments.  He performs a variety of skilled tasks such as coordinating vendors, field work, data collection, data entry and review, reporting and administrative and other duties related to the projects and programs.  The Plant Material Development is the intentional cultivation of seeds, seedlings and container plants in support of ecological restoration efforts.  Jesse is part of the IRC's program that uses wild seed collection, in combination with traditional farming and nursery practices, to ensure that each restoration includes a diverse set of plants species that are adapted to local conditions.

Prior to working at Irvine Ranch Conservancy Jesse had four years of experience at the Bolsa Chica Conservancy as their restoration program and internship coordinator.   While at the BCC, he's worked with several rare plants species, monitored for endangered birds, and assisted in the management of a 9.5 restoration project.  He attended Cal Poly Pomona and received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology
