Isaac Oliva - Resource Management Restoration Technician
Isaac first became interested in Irvine Ranch Conservancy in 2009 after reading an article in the Orange County Register, inviting the public to assist in restoring cactus scrub habitat for California’s coastal Cactus Wren. As an Orange County native, he saw an opportunity to help his community with this project. He volunteered full time for the next six months, then became an employed with the Conservancy as a Resource Management Restoration Technician. He now assists in a variety of projects on the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks. He provides equipment maintenance and supports invasive control, but mainly focuses on support of large scale restoration projects. His background in commercial roofing and framing gives him extensive experience in construction and use of heavy equipment. Isaac has a great love for the outdoors and a keen ability to expand his understanding of natural history. He enjoys camping and many activities in the great outdoors. He enjoys spending a good deal of time with his large extended family.
