Facility & Fleet Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time Facility & Fleet Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement all activities related to our facilities, as well as our vehicle and equipment fleets.

The Irvine Ranch Conservancy is a non-profit organization with a dedicated and experienced team of 50 employees and over 500 volunteers. Our mission is to ensure the protection, restoration, and enhancement of the natural resources of nearly 50,000 acres of protected open space on the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks forever, and to provide diverse opportunities for compatible public enjoyment through scientific, recreational, and educational programs. We are committed to the highest possible standards of long-term land stewardship and strive to protect the species, habitats, and natural communities of the Natural Landmarks.

As the Facility & Fleet Coordinator, you plan, coordinate, and implement all activities and processes related to the Conservancy’s facilities, as well as vehicle and equipment fleets. This job is for you if you like variety because you will often do something different every day. For example, one day you might plan and oversee maintenance or repair for the Conservancy’s office buildings. On another day, you will coordinate regular servicing and repair for Conservancy vehicles, as well as perform basic repairs. And on another day, you might help your co-workers with a tricky equipment problem. You serve as primary contact for the building security company, building owner, and yard, building, vehicle, and equipment maintenance and service providers. When new employees join the team, you will get to meet all of them because you provide basic driver safety training. You work independently, but in cooperation and collaboration with your co-workers. And you’ll work with your supervisor as needed to prioritize your tasks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and at least two years of related work experience.
  • Successful experience coordinating multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to safely and competently drive and operate a variety of vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery, sometimes in a partially disabled state.
  • Experience with MS Office and Google platform. Basic computer skills with ability to produce reports.

Work Schedule:
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with occasional long and/or non-traditional hours required.

Benefits: The Conservancy offers industry-leading benefits including paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; medical, dental, and vision insurance; health savings account (HSA) with employer contribution; life and short- and long-term disability insurance; optional retirement plan with company match, optional flexible spending account (FSA), optional dependent care spending plan, and optional long term care insurance with employer contribution.
