Learn about Invasive Weeds that Threaten
the Natural Landmarks


They may appear beautiful from a distance, but non-native plants are harmful to the natural habitats of the wildlands. On Saturday, September 13th join us at Bommer Canyon at 8 a.m. and get a first hand look at dangerous weeds in disguise. In addition to other problems, these plants dry out and become a huge fire hazard for the land. Learn to identify some of the "bad guys," while out on the trail and discover what you can do in your own backyard to stop the spread of these damaging weeds.

Tom Sabin

Tom Sabin grew up in Nevada experiencing the Sierra’s and has been an outdoor enthusiast from a very young age. Tom’s grandfather instilled in him a lifelong passion for nature and outdoor activities including fly fishing, skiing, and hiking.
