CELEBRATE LABOR DAY WEEKEND WITH A HIKE!
There’s no better way to end one season and begin another...
Join us August 29 at 7 a.m. for this weekday
excursion as we venture into Round Canyon. This area is home to a
diverse community of plants and animals. Walk through oak and sycamore
woodlands, coastal sage scrub and riparian habitat. This canyon has a
number of old-growth oak trees that often provide daytime shelter for
roosting owls.
Areas of Round Canyon were burned in the 2007 Santiago Fire. Witness the spectacular rebirth of plants and trees during this program. A number of native plants in this canyon are currently in bloom so make sure to bring your camera to capture the colorful displays.
