David Raetz - Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Dave is responsible for strategic planning and project management for multiple departments. Dave began working with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy first as senior manager, then director; now as the deputy director, he oversees the administration of Conservancy’s budget and the management and evaluation of staff, volunteers and public programs. Dave directs and participates in the regional publicity for the organization and its various programs. In addition, he establishes and maintains community partnerships and partnership programs. Before coming to the Conservancy, Dave spent 13 years in a number of positions with Inside the Outdoors, Orange County Schools’ award-winning environmental education program, most recently as manager of school and field programs. Dave has overseen the naturalist program for ITO, and been a leader in the development of programs, outreach, fundraising and strategic planning for the organization. He has also served as a field naturalist and educator. Dave has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
