Chrystene Newman - Program Coordinator

Chrystene joined the Community Programs team as a Field Naturalist, bringing a passion for conservation, ecology education and land management. As a naturalist, Chrystene leads activities on the Landmarks and supports a variety of programs and special events such as Wilderness Access Days.  Chrystene graduated from CSU Dominguez Hills with a BS in Biology, with an emphasis on Ecology and Environmental Biology.  She formerly worked as a natural resources interpreter for the City of Newport Beach, presenting marine conservation information, conducting tours, and organizing coastal clean-up events, and has completed internships and conducted research focused on sustainability and habitat restoration. Prior to joining the Irvine Ranch Conservancy as an employee, she was an IRC volunteer.
