Christopher Eljenholm - Program Coordinator
As a Program Coordinator on the Monitoring and Research team, Chris is involved in a variety of tasks related to Irvine Ranch Conservancy's wildlife monitoring efforts, including bird surveys, nesting raptor monitoring, and data analysis. He is also involved in the application of new technologies and developing techniques to study small mammals and lizards.
Prior to working at IRC, Chris spent about three years developing and leading environmental education programs with the Ocean Institute in Dana Point. Following this work, he was a consulting biologist for VCS Environmental, where he performed a variety of tasks including nesting bird surveys, burrowing owl habitat assessments, and vegetation mapping in addition to various impact analyses and environmental regulation compliance assessments. He has experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and is a certified commercial drone pilot with strong statistical analysis skills. Chris attended California State University Monterey Bay, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in statistics.
